The Mayor is assisted by Deputy Mayors. The Vice-Mayors are municipal councilors of the majority and are appointed by the Mayor's decision. The number of Deputy Mayors for each municipality is determined based on population.

If the Deputy Mayor is absent or obstructed, another Deputy Mayor designated by the Mayor or the Mayor himself exercises his powers.
